Yes Deepak you can get channel from NSS6 also through your same set top box. for this you have to adjust your LNB or you can move your dish afew towards south-west, From NSS 6 you can get only FTA channel like ETC Punjabi, Zee Jagaran, Play TV, Aakash Bangla, Live India.etc & all encrypted channel of Dish TV for their frequency please visit this site :http://www.lyngsat.com/nss6.html

Ami motamuti adjust kore 30-35 % Signal pai Aakash Bangla & PLay Tv te sondhya er samay abar eta majhe majhe signal 28% hoye jai. aar ei channel gulo rakhar janyo DD Direct er signal amake loss korte hoy. Normally DD direct e ami 65-70 % signal pai kintu eksathe neoar janyo ekhon pai 50-55 % jai hok ami bhalo bhabei dekhte pachhi. tumi rktu chesta koro taholei pabe tobe 35% er beshi signal nite gele DD er signal off hoye jete pare. jai hok ki holo reply korbe.

Hardik you didn’t mention that which network you are using. If you use DD Direct Plus or Dish Tv, you have to search for Star Utsab. Its a Free to Air Channel available in DD Direct Plus & Dish Tv. And for Zee Next & Aaj tak you have to pay & its available in Dish TV only. you can also get all the 3 channel in Tata Sky.
To get Star Utsab you have to search this frequency :

FRANCE:Viewer of ZEE TV uk from a long time. Thinking that the quality of its programs shall be improved by the time was the nightmare. It is a low class entertainment channel, does not provide any intellect values from and of India. 60% of its programs are covered by breaks, noisy flashing images and mirch- masala publicities. zee earns and we pay for those publicitis. In other words its subscription of about Rs.1150/year is not at all justified. Any suggestion for direct reception of indian channels. Looking for feedback.

You cant get any Bengali News Channel on DD Direct Plus. Only you can get Aakash Bangla from NSS-6 is a free to Air. and two more Channel available in DTH is 24 Ghanta for that you have to take a connection of Dish TV & for Star Ananda you have to take Tata Sky.
Otherwise you have to take a 8ft Dish to receive Bengali Channel as free to air form Insat 4A Satelite

dth service is developing very well. but what abt the much hyped CAS which is implemented partially in 4 metros in 25% areas and was abt to b implemented in remaining 75% areas in a phased manner. is the high court sleeping.
plz implement CAS immediately. atleast ppl wud hv choice of watching only fta channels even in cable network (without needing stb although paying 60-80 rs pm to cable walla) then just like dd dth.

Its, 12535 – vertical -40700 and the down frequency is 10600.
Pls make sure the down frequency is 10600 instead of 9750.

i hav the dd direct plus antina nd lnb,, reciever is STAR SAT sR-X120D MODEL.. MY problem is .. losing of signal.. first i got all channels in dd dirct plus .(stlite insat 4b) but know shows searching for signal..!.. i tried for many times by changing the alignment of dish.. pls mail me a good solution immidietly..all trnspoders entered are as per satlite frquency’s..!!
either ur dish alignment is faulty or ur settings or ur lnb or receiver are not functioning.Call an engineer to test or chk receiver with any other dish to isolate matter

dd dth problems like lip movement in video and sound movement of audio not matching – leading to the illusion of watching dubbed program. this happens in many channels.
is it common phenomena with all or peculiar problem with stb. is problem only for dd dth or with other pvt operators also.

This problems is from your STB. In Audio setting there is 3 option in your STB Left Channel, Right Channel & Stereo. inthis setting you have to setup as per your TV Input or you can setup Stereo. and in here you also find a track option named “Track 1″ & “Track 2″. most probably this setting wrongly as Track 2 in your STB. Please change it as Track 1. then this problems will be solved

what rubbish DD is doing. after removal of aaj tak, live india channel added, but removed abruptly within a couple of months.
DD plz dont remove news channels. there is not a single worthy news channel. at least keep a couple of hindi national news channels. (total tv hs very limited coverage catering mainly to delhi area n not national chnl.)
DD shud b made accountable by all the MPs.

If you are using DD Direct Plus dish then i want to tell u some thing about that. u know that we can watch all channels of Dish Tv(zee network dish) on our dd direct plus. Here is itz proof- select that private channel say discovery channel. Now u might receive a message “Service Scrambled” but now check out that channel streangth & quality. it is showing-working & now check out that set-top box back side, u will see a com1 port to connect it to computer. I am working on it. As i am not having any good knowlege about electronics i am unable to get it. According to my knowlege we will have to change its deencrypter in the set-top box or it can be cracked by software may be. Please mail me back if anyone think about it……………….

the com port is used to flash the memory chip with new software
so forget about it or just maybe best of luck !

as bought up in kolkata i prefer bengali programmes. even after switching ovr frm nss6 to insat i was able to get akash bangla clearly. somehow i m unable to get thru for nearly 6 months. i do not know whats the problem. can anyone help me to get thru. can i change lnb setting in STB to 10600 in lnb2 keeping lnb as 9500 in lnb1 for dd programmes n then set to 12595 V 40700 Akash Bangla.

i am a DTH user . My problem is that my dics was stable and i received your chanels. but tomarrow my antena is unstabled.
today i stable. He has signals is behind 80 to 95 but Quality ’s strangth is zero(null).
i try to debugg this problum of Rotate the LNB but problum is not debugg.

ur dish is not aligned right – to the correct satellite probably because of wind or other things it has moved or shifted
signal strength signifies that the power from the receiver box reaches the lnb
quality shows how correctly u have pointed the dish to the satellite
so u will have to rotate the dish till the quality is at least 50+% to get a good signal

Signal quality of 12595 V 40700 on nss 6 is very poor thats why you are not getting this TP. to fix this problems 1st set you dish with nss 6 only try to get maximum signal from this satellite. Then you will get this frequency. After getting it try to catch signal from Insat 4B. I think it will solve

You can also get Audio signal of Kids Active and Video Signal of Cinema Active, Music Active, Games Active & Playjam. Its not your problem . Actually those signals are coming from Dish TV Package. To get all those services you have to take Dish TV other wise remove those channel from your channel list

I Just change Audio, Video & PCR PID of Music Active & Cinema Active Channel of Dish TV Where vedio was coming only . After Changing I am getting Zee Cinema, Set Max, Channel V & M Tv India as caption mode & audio are coming. Friend you can try to do it with another channel. It may works.

hi i reside in Southkendra,karnataka…nowadays dd direct channel signals r very less…say only 28-31% …during day time …but during night there is good 35-40% signal strength…In day time it comes down to around 27%….. so this makes total interruption in veiwing dd direct channels…wt can i do to solve this problem…..???

Please don’t waste your valuable time to search his frequency. because all frequency that he mentioned are false. right now all channel which are coming from 12595 V 40700 are again encrypted only Aakaash Bangla, Play TV & Live India coming from this tp as FTA & IASAI Aruvi, ETC Punjabi coming from NSS 6. If any new Channel come in those Satellite I will inform you surely.

Actually all those channel of 12595 V 40700 was from NSS 6 a part of Dish TV & Free for temprary. Those channels are again encrypt by Dish TV. So wait for new channel which will be add on DD Direct Plus will stay permanently.

Again Khel Active is encrypted so you cant get. Just note this value, when you get the Video Signal from it just change the Audio PID & PCR PID of it. The video PID of Music Active & Cinema Active also encrypted.

Its available only in Dish TV

I have installed 60cm dish with FTA STB coship, set to 95E on NSS6, i can see 35 channel of DD DTH, but i can also see some channel list like SONY, MAX, AXN ,DISCOVERY, SAB, MTV and three more but no picture or scramble message, WHAT IS THIS? is DD DTH is going to start this channels on its DTH?.
other question is can i received more channels on NSS6, i mean other then DD DTH and CGN TV. I have seen lyngsat.com site there are other FTA beaming on India. DishTV also provide FTA channels on its DTH, can i see that , if yes, how?

NDTV Imagine is available in Dish TV as Free to Air in hide mode. You can get this channel from DD direct plus also. To get this channel you have to search Dish Interactive (old) Channel i.e. on 12595 V 40700 TP. If you do not get this one please edit any Encrypted channel of this TP (Movie Active, Zee Talkies, Topper, Jaya TV etc) as both LNB will – 10600; Transponder Frequency – 12595, Symbol Rate – 40700, Pol – V, 22K – ON , Video PID – 5738, Audio PID – 5741, PCR PID – 5742
One more Channel is available in DD Direct Plus. It replaced Test 16 Signal.

Though technically dd dishes or ku band dishes can be oriented to get any channel on any satellite if the signal is focused on that area – foreign channels are on satellites like hotbird and those dont have a reach in india they only reach a few places in punjab and kashmir

if the consumers dont get the choice of choosing a channel, n end up paying for the bouquet then what is the advantage of dth ovr cable except for clarity. even cable oprt gv clarity if u ask for stb to him.
for dth or even CAS to succeed in its true sense, they shud gv consumers chance to select an individual channel instead of bouquet and charged individually.
further channel groups shudnt discourage consumers going for individual channels like eg, if complete star package consisting of say 15 channels is charged for Rs. 75/- (ie Rs. 5/- per channel) then individual channel’s charge shud not b more than Rs. 10/- per channel.
further stb shud b interchangeable to different service provider like tata or dishtv.

To get DD Direct Plus Free Channel you have to set LNB Frequency as 09750 both & to receive Dish TV’s Free Channel through DD Direct Plus then Low LNB Frequency will 09750 & High LNB Freq. will be 10600. There is no frequency as 22750

By purchasing the DTH set of Dish TV or TATA Sky, can one also receive the DD Plus package even by setting the DD plus setting.

Yes and NO technically all three support mpg2 so the boxes can show each others channels.
mostly both tata and zee lock their stbs –
plus the satellites should be close to each other to use the same dish for multiple satellites

I am facing one problem in DD Direct plus is there are five transponders for various channels, since few days I observed that two transponders Strength and Quality are good but another three transponders Strength and Quality are so much law. Atleast, DD DTH users must be informed about the channel updates. DD is not at all taking the responsibility for informing the changes to its users. for the past 1 year, there were many channels appearing and disappearing(including FTA Channels). DD should take necessary steps to make its customers happy by having its existing channels atleast.

Zee alleged that PB had disconnected signals from its (DTH) platform for not paying the carriage fee. n that earlier carriage-fee was Rs 25 lakh only, PB increased it to Rs 60 lakh. (!!!)

I am back again after a long period. DD Direct Plus is a Free DTH Service of Prasar Bharati. There can changes anything as per their own decision. So any channel can join & exit by their policy. There is no sureity to stay permanently free at DD Direct Plus. Thats why I am telling you to get more than 200 FTA channel please purchase a 6ft Dish (Minimum) & Install it with 2 C band & 2 Ku Band LNB to get lots of Free To Air TV Channel from ABS 1 (Ku), Thaicom 5 (C), Insat 4A/2E (C) & Insat 4B (Ku).
I think its the better way to watch TV other wise you can subscribe paid DTH system like Sun Direct, Dish TV, Big TV or Tata Sky. Where you can get your favourite channel permanently

Welcum dear. V were sincerely missing u. Yr,suggession is nice although it is costlier than opting 4 ordinary DD DTH system. I had observed from http://www.apnadth.com that they had similar equipment 2 offer.But it has 1 ku band n 1 c band lnb. their combo unit ensures more than 90 TV channels with a choice of DD Direct Plus, Sahara, SAB TV, Star Utsav, Zee Channels, Middle East, Chinese and English channels. It transpires difficulty in keeping lnbs in right position thru out.
Will yr suggession of hvg 2 ku n 2 c band lnbs on 1 6 ft dish will work ? Hv u tried out this system?
I m sure if u can furnish this alongwith details of requisit equipments, source, n approx. cost indication it will b extremely helpful 2 yr numerous admiorers as also wld b a blow 2 authorotarian treatment ofprasar bhartis towards their consumers.

Yes Prax I already done it. After that I am telling you to all. for that I am using a Optic Fibre (FRP) Dish of 6 ft & 4 LNB as I told you. I think its better but cost is high. I expensed Rs. 6000.00 for that. But Apna DTH is wrong in few channel like SAB TV its encrypted & only Zee Jagaran, Smile & Music is available from Zee only

Hi,
Tatasky, dish tv or anyother private DTH providers , we can use their dish and lnb but not possible to use the receiver.
The reciever may cost 750 to 1000 Rs.
With 60 cm dish and KU band lnb in south india we can receive some around 90+ channels.
1) NSS6
2) Edusat
3) asiasat 3
In NSS6, All DD direct channels (including isai aurvi, Kalaingar) etc some 50 channels approx.
In Edusat, All jesus calls channels except one russian channel “1tvrus” nothing catchy
In Asiasat, all Iran channels but some channels like irab3,4 shows some movies (English) ok..
Note: if i have missed any tell me and all friends in this thread to know…

May be your dish position changed slightly.
Check whether ur able to view “isai aruvi” and the signal strength is 50+, then u will definitely

I am from Delhi, India. Currently not able to view channels like – Zee Smile, total tv ,etcindia,time tv, zee jagran. No, there’s no tree/wall in front of the dish, normally strength of signal is 92% and quality is 70-80

Dear Mona,
Try to catch CGNTV with good signal level say 60+ then u will defentiely get zee smile.
May be ur dish points to insat 4b if so just adjust the dish downwards slightly and check the singnal level wether it is increased or not.
check under the dish there should be some degres marked . make the pointer in the dish to 51 degree as i mentioned earlier if it is not pointing to 51 degree.
Even u can try to adjust the lnb by just rotating slightly in clockwise direction.
best thing is that if u have a small tv or portable dvd player just have it near by dish and have connected. then make adjustment by urself, without asking other to look the tv inside ur house.

dd direct + service are just joking .For a long time you ranjit sir telling that a newbengali channel is comming .But yet it is not launched.A single free to air way channel was their i.e AKASH BANGLA, it is also encripted from direct + service. Yesterday I adjusted the dish to receive more signal for CGNTV, I got more than 60% for this channel, still Zee Smile was not there. Pl let me know how to get it. While searching when i set for FREE + CA channels – I got almost all Star channels, Zee Prime, Zee Classic, Zee Active, Movie Act, Aaj Tak, MH1, Times Now, Pogo channels – signal was sufficient – it no picture was there – it was showing “SCRAMBLE” – is it due to encryption?

I am facing to receive Zee Smile even i set my disk as required for NSS6 and right technical detail means LNB-10600/12595Mhz/v/Symbole rate 40700/22k on/disq Eq off/12V on
Also i want to share information that i receive Zee Jagran/999Active/Zee trandz
but when i insert Zee Smile Freq and signal strenght receive only 30% insted of 50-55% .
I have also tried with new LNB but i am fail.
now i think my receiver not respont for this peticular frequency.

Zee smile and some other channel will not receive up to solving court matter.
Everybody should know that some payment issue is arrive with private channel operator and this operator goes to court so that this matter is under court consideration.

you should know that you dont want to require to change disk size as well as your receiver. when ever dd increase means thay will declare new freq. for new channlel . as general information i would like to say that in one transponder can transmit 10 ch vertical and 10 channel horizental and some of the radio channel. this all are depend with your tranmission technology.
simple is thair is no required to change disk as well as receiver ok. only you should feed new freq. whenever dd declare.

I am using DD direct plus since jan 2007 at this this i recieve proper signal. but when the satellite is change i adjust my dish to 93.5E.

Hi Everbody,
Play TV, Aakash Bangla, Fashion TV, ETC Punjabi, Live India are now encrypted by Zee Dish TV, Zee Jagaran (12535 V 40700), Zee Smile (12595 V 40700) & Zee Trendz (12728 V 27500) are available as FTA from NSS as a part of Dish TV. And MH 1 Music, Enterr 10 are not available in DTH system.
Its Possible to setup own DTH system (Not Dish TV) by using 6 ft or more Dish with multi C & Ku LNB for watching lots of Free To Air TV including Music, Entertainment & News
Amit Telephone Tower is disturb to receive Ku Band signal for that reason you are getting poor signal
Airtel Digital TV is using Insat 4CR at 74.0°E for their DTH Service. They already start their service. might be they are using 11155 H 4000 & 11167 H 4000 TP and they are using different (New) technology follow Mpeg 4 for more details you can visit

DEAR SIR,
I AM A USER OF DOORDARSHAN DTH SERVICE FM LAST 1 YEAR. BUT NOW, FROM LAST ONE WEEK SIGNAL STRENGTH IS 95% AND QUALITY IS TOO WEAK ONLY 27/28%. WHAT IS THE REASON ND WHAT CAN I DO NOW.
PLEASE HELP ME AWAITING UR EARLY REPLY.

Please chk if ur dish has lost its orientation / direction / elevation
if it is ok chk if the lnb is working

Dear Dinesh
I think this is the problems related with your LNB. If you didnot move your dish & happen same problems in all TP please change your LNB. If you are facing this problems with few TP then try to get better signal by moving your dish. Please let us know its happening with all TP or perticuler one TP

Many channel are encripted from dd direct + service ,but this are still shown in the dfd direct + front page in the logo as”DD DIRECT and NSS6 Channel List”. this is shown because to show thatb dd direct + network are still cotinue to bore the high salvage tax of this payable channel and to rocognise as a “VERY GOOD” free ofcost dth provider in India. From the last 6 month you are telling that a “BENGALI Channel” is launching on DD Direct + service , still it is shown like a DREAM.

i’m using universal dth, i just change some frequency in my system now (5150) i’m getting only few channels, all dd channels are not coming and FM also.

I would like to share some techanical information on DTH
1. There is only two LND Freq. can sat for KU band LNB means when you set 9750 MHZ you must 22k off and when you set 10600Mhz you must 22k On other wise the receiver will respond only 9750MHZ .
2. DD-direct work on LNB freq. 9750MHZ(Now you know that from point onew that you should 22k off )and the satelite is used bt dd-direct is INSAT 4B wich is loceted at 93.5 degree and other Dish DTH (Zee DTH) is located at NSS 6 satelite located at 95 degree and Dish tv using 10600MHZ (from point one you should know that 22k on)
3. on INSAT 4B there is only 50 channel wtith using 5 freq.(Each freq has 10 video channel and 4/5 audio channel at present as on 05.10.2008)
4. on NSS 6 there is a 6 free channel which is on Dish TV DTH plat form.
A.Zee jagran-TP12535MHZ/v/22k on/lnb 10600/SR 40700
B.Zee Smile,Zee Tamil-TP12595MHZ/v/22k on/lnb 10600/SR-40700
C.Disc 999 active-TP12647MHZ/H/22k0n/lnb 10600/SR-27500
D.Chaidkla time TV-12638MHZ/V/22k on /lnb 10600/SR-13300
E.Zee Trendz-TP 12729MHZ/V/22k on/lnb 10600/SR-27500
Now before you set this freq you should compromice with dish setting becouse you have to set your dish in between 93.5 and 95 degree to get both satelite signal with less signal due to 0.75 degree both side leg with orignal angle .
Very Important – If you have gardinar receiver you may not get 12595 MHZ
signal doe to technical problem.
The technical problem is there is a two to three type receiver (Dont Dought on LNB becouse Universal LNB work both band means 9750/10600)if your receiver input signal is 950-2100MHZ you will sure receiving This freq and you will get Zee smile if your Receiver Not geting Zee smile your Receiver is may be 950-2050MHs input signal respond.

technical discution .
5150 is for Extended C band freq, and it will not work for KU band LNB but some time by defoult your LNB response 9750MHZ if you have not 22k on and if you 22k on then it will respond by defoult 10600MHZ freq.
there is no meaning to reasearch adding different freq. in your receiver.

just enter LNB 9750 MHZ/22k OFF/ other setting no meaning so forgot it and do auto search you will get 50 channel.
But before you do this please delete all and then make this excersize.

Please give the other “Dordarshan channel” as free to air way channel ,i.e. dd bihar, dd ranchi, dd dehradun, dd raipur, dd hissar , dd silchar, dd chandigarh as free to air way channel.To make this channel as free to air way DD DIRECT + Service have not to spend a lump sum of money as this are goverment Doordarshan channels. Pleeeease give those above mentioned Doordarshan channel.PleeEeease……..
