Lastly, I had started with the dd posts due to info vacuum from DD end so that people get some info and updates which i have been relatively successful in. Prasar bharati or DD does what it wants , removes channels adds channels and people have no clue. Yes, the frequency is same at all locations for the same channel. However depending on the direction of Antennae and climatic condition or clarity of sky some time some channels may disappear and reappear after some time. This is apart from the DD Direct Plus taking off from air certain channels from time to time.

Hardik you didn’t mention that which network you are using. If you use DD Direct Plus or Dish Tv, you have to search for Star Utsab. Its a Free to Air Channel available in DD Direct Plus & Dish Tv. And for Zee Next & Aaj tak you have to pay & its available in Dish TV only. you can also get all the 3 channel in Tata Sky.
To get Star Utsab you have to search this frequency :

MY problem is .. losing of signal.. first i got all channels in dd dirct plus .(stlite insat 4b) but know shows searching for signal..!.. i tried for many times by changing the alignment of dish.. pls mail me a good solution immidietly..all trnspoders entered are as per satlite frquency’s..!!
either ur dish alignment is faulty or ur settings or ur lnb or receiver are not functioning.Call an engineer to test or chk receiver with any other dish to isolate matter

dd dth problems like lip movement in video and sound movement of audio not matching – leading to the illusion of watching dubbed program. this happens in many channels.

This problems is from your STB. In Audio setting there is 3 option in your STB Left Channel, Right Channel & Stereo. inthis setting you have to setup as per your TV Input or you can setup Stereo. and in here you also find a track option named “Track 1” & “Track 2”. most probably this setting wrongly as Track 2 in your STB. Please change it as Track 1. then this problems will be solved

If you are using DD Direct Plus dish then i want to tell u some thing about that. u know that we can watch all channels of Dish Tv(zee network dish) on our dd direct plus. Here is itz proof- select that private channel say discovery channel. Now u might receive a message “Service Scrambled” but now check out that channel streangth & quality. it is showing-working & now check out that set-top box back side, u will see a com1 port to connect it to computer. I am working on it. As i am not having any good knowlege about electronics i am unable to get it. According to my knowlege we will have to change its deencrypter in the set-top box or it can be cracked by software may be. Please mail me back if anyone think about it……………….

the com port is used to flash the memory chip with new software

as bought up in kolkata i prefer bengali programmes. even after switching ovr frm nss6 to insat i was able to get akash bangla clearly. somehow i m unable to get thru for nearly 6 months. i do not know whats the problem. can anyone help me to get thru. can i change lnb setting in STB to 10600 in lnb2 keeping lnb as 9500 in lnb1 for dd programmes n then set to 12595 V 40700 Akash Bangla.

read the tuning in post – u might need to do a bit of a trick as to get signal from both satellites akash is on nss6 not insat

ur dish is not aligned right – to the correct satellite probably because of wind or other things it has moved or shifted
signal strength signifies that the power from the receiver box reaches the lnb
quality shows how correctly u have pointed the dish to the satellite
so u will have to rotate the dish till the quality is at least 50+% to get a good signal

Using INSAT-4B and NSS6 I got evergy channels of FTA dd ditect+ except Akash Bangla, India TV, Live India. I tried to set the TP 12995 V 40700 (on NSS6) but it fails to search. Anyone can say why it is happening?

Signal quality of 12595 V 40700 on nss 6 is very poor thats why you are not getting this TP. to fix this problems 1st set you dish with nss 6 only try to get maximum signal from this satellite. Then you will get this frequency. After getting it try to catch signal from Insat 4B. I think it will solve

You can also get Audio signal of Kids Active and Video Signal of Cinema Active, Music Active, Games Active & Playjam. Its not your problem . Actually those signals are coming from Dish TV Package. To get all those services you have to take Dish TV other wise remove those channel from your channel list

Those channels are free from Dish TV & temporarily not permanent. & its come from NSS6 Satellite. You can get all those with DD direct Plus, actually NSS 6 & Insat 4b satellite are beside each other . Thats why you can get all those from DD Direct Plus

hi i reside in Southkendra,karnataka…nowadays dd direct channel signals r very less…say only 28-31% …during day time …but during night there is good 35-40% signal strength…In day time it comes down to around 27%….. so this makes total interruption in veiwing dd direct channels…wt can i do to solve this problem…..???

Actually all those channel of 12595 V 40700 was from NSS 6 a part of Dish TV & Free for temprary. Those channels are again encrypt by Dish TV. So wait for new channel which will be add on DD Direct Plus will stay permanently.

Again Khel Active is encrypted so you cant get. Just note this value, when you get the Video Signal from it just change the Audio PID & PCR PID of it. The video PID of Music Active & Cinema Active also encrypted.

Right now Aakaash Bangla, ETC Punjabi, Play TV, Live India, Animax & Isai Aruvi is available from NSS 6 (Dish TV) as Free To Air only. Other All Channels are encrypted agin so those channels are not more available in DD Direct Plus. The details of Zee Next is – LNB – 10600 (both) , TP – 12729, Symbol Rate – 27500,Pol- V, 22K – on. Its available only in Dish TV

I have installed 60cm dish with FTA STB coship, set to 95E on NSS6, i can see 35 channel of DD DTH, but i can also see some channel list like SONY, MAX, AXN ,DISCOVERY, SAB, MTV and three more but no picture or scramble message, WHAT IS THIS? is DD DTH is going to start this channels on its DTH?.
other question is can i received more channels on NSS6, i mean other then DD DTH and CGN TV. I have seen lyngsat.com site there are other FTA beaming on India. DishTV also provide FTA channels on its DTH, can i see that , if yes, how?

NDTV Imagine is available in Dish TV as Free to Air in hide mode. You can get this channel from DD direct plus also. To get this channel you have to search Dish Interactive (old) Channel i.e. on 12595 V 40700 TP. If you do not get this one please edit any Encrypted channel of this TP (Movie Active, Zee Talkies, Topper, Jaya TV etc) as both LNB will – 10600; Transponder Frequency – 12595, Symbol Rate – 40700, Pol – V, 22K – ON , Video PID – 5738, Audio PID – 5741, PCR PID – 5742
One more Channel is available in DD Direct Plus. It replaced Test 16 Signal.

Though technically dd dishes or ku band dishes can be oriented to get any channel on any satellite if the signal is focused on that area – foreign channels are on satellites like hotbird and those dont have a reach in india they only reach a few places in punjab and kashmir

dd-direct plus gets some channels with suffix bolly,holly in radio channel list but all are encry
if the consumers dont get the choice of choosing a channel, n end up paying for the bouquet then what is the advantage of dth ovr cable except for clarity. even cable oprt gv clarity if u ask for stb to him.
for dth or even CAS to succeed in its true sense, they shud gv consumers chance to select an individual channel instead of bouquet and charged individually.
further channel groups shudnt discourage consumers going for individual channels like eg, if complete star package consisting of say 15 channels is charged for Rs. 75/- (ie Rs. 5/- per channel) then individual channel’s charge shud not b more than Rs. 10/- per channel.
further stb shud b interchangeable to different service provider like tata or dishtv.

are ON in it.
They are not on dd but on dish tv – and dish tv decides what to encrypt or not

Atleast, DD DTH users must be informed about the channel updates. DD is not at all taking the responsibility for informing the changes to its users. for the past 1 year, there were many channels appearing and disappearing(including FTA Channels). DD should take necessary steps to make its customers happy by having its existing channels atleast.

I am back again after a long period. DD Direct Plus is a Free DTH Service of Prasar Bharati. There can changes anything as per their own decision. So any channel can join & exit by their policy. There is no sureity to stay permanently free at DD Direct Plus. Thats why I am telling you to get more than 200 FTA channel please purchase a 6ft Dish (Minimum) & Install it with 2 C band & 2 Ku Band LNB to get lots of Free To Air TV Channel from ABS 1 (Ku), Thaicom 5 (C), Insat 4A/2E (C) & Insat 4B (Ku).
I think its the better way to watch TV other wise you can subscribe paid DTH system like Sun Direct, Dish TV, Big TV or Tata Sky. Where you can get your favourite channel permanently

Welcum dear. V were sincerely missing u. Yr,suggession is nice although it is costlier than opting 4 ordinary DD DTH system. I had observed from http://www.apnadth.com that they had similar equipment 2 offer.But it has 1 ku band n 1 c band lnb. their combo unit ensures more than 90 TV channels with a choice of DD Direct Plus, Sahara, SAB TV, Star Utsav, Zee Channels, Middle East, Chinese and English channels. It transpires difficulty in keeping lnbs in right position thru out.
Will yr suggession of hvg 2 ku n 2 c band lnbs on 1 6 ft dish will work ? Hv u tried out this system?
I m sure if u can furnish this alongwith details of requisit equipments, source, n approx. cost indication it will b extremely helpful 2 yr numerous admiorers as also wld b a blow 2 authorotarian treatment ofprasar bhartis towards their consumers.

Yes Prax I already done it. After that I am telling you to all. for that I am using a Optic Fibre (FRP) Dish of 6 ft & 4 LNB as I told you. I think its better but cost is high. I expensed Rs. 6000.00 for that. But Apna DTH is wrong in few channel like SAB TV its encrypted & only Zee Jagaran, Smile & Music is available from Zee only

While searching when i set for FREE + CA channels – I got almost all Star channels, Zee Prime, Zee Classic, Zee Active, Movie Act, Aaj Tak, MH1, Times Now, Pogo channels – signal was sufficient – it no picture was there – it was showing “SCRAMBLE” – is it due to encryption?

Everybody should know that some payment issue is arrive with private channel operator and this operator goes to court so that this matter is under court consideration.

Play TV, Aakash Bangla, Fashion TV, ETC Punjabi, Live India are now encrypted by Zee Dish TV, Zee Jagaran (12535 V 40700), Zee Smile (12595 V 40700) & Zee Trendz (12728 V 27500) are available as FTA from NSS as a part of Dish TV. And MH 1 Music, Enterr 10 are not available in DTH system.
Its Possible to setup own DTH system (Not Dish TV) by using 6 ft or more Dish with multi C & Ku LNB for watching lots of Free To Air TV including Music, Entertainment & News
Amit Telephone Tower is disturb to receive Ku Band signal for that reason you are getting poor signal
Airtel Digital TV is using Insat 4CR at 74.0°E for their DTH Service. They already start their service. might be they are using 11155 H 4000 & 11167 H 4000 TP and they are using different (New) technology follow Mpeg 4 for more details you can visit

I think this is the problems related with your LNB. If you didnot move your dish & happen same problems in all TP please change your LNB. If you are facing this problems with few TP then try to get better signal by moving your dish. Please let us know its happening with all TP or perticuler one TP

Many channel are encripted from dd direct + service ,but this are still shown in the dfd direct + front page in the logo as”DD DIRECT and NSS6 Channel List”. this is shown because to show thatb dd direct + network are still cotinue to bore the high salvage tax of this payable channel and to rocognise as a “VERY GOOD” free ofcost dth provider in India. From the last 6 month you are telling that a “BENGALI Channel” is launching on DD Direct + service , still it is shown like a DREAM.

I would like to share some techanical information on DTH
1. There is only two LND Freq. can sat for KU band LNB means when you set 9750 MHZ you must 22k off and when you set 10600Mhz you must 22k On other wise the receiver will respond only 9750MHZ .
2. DD-direct work on LNB freq. 9750MHZ(Now you know that from point onew that you should 22k off )and the satelite is used bt dd-direct is INSAT 4B wich is loceted at 93.5 degree and other Dish DTH (Zee DTH) is located at NSS 6 satelite located at 95 degree and Dish tv using 10600MHZ (from point one you should know that 22k on)
3. on INSAT 4B there is only 50 channel wtith using 5 freq.(Each freq has 10 video channel and 4/5 audio channel at present as on 05.10.2008)
4. on NSS 6 there is a 6 free channel which is on Dish TV DTH plat form.
A.Zee jagran-TP12535MHZ/v/22k on/lnb 10600/SR 40700
B.Zee Smile,Zee Tamil-TP12595MHZ/v/22k on/lnb 10600/SR-40700
C.Disc 999 active-TP12647MHZ/H/22k0n/lnb 10600/SR-27500
D.Chaidkla time TV-12638MHZ/V/22k on /lnb 10600/SR-13300
E.Zee Trendz-TP 12729MHZ/V/22k on/lnb 10600/SR-27500
Now before you set this freq you should compromice with dish setting becouse you have to set your dish in between 93.5 and 95 degree to get both satelite signal with less signal due to 0.75 degree both side leg with orignal angle .
Very Important – If you have gardinar receiver you may not get 12595 MHZ
signal doe to technical problem.
The technical problem is there is a two to three type receiver (Dont Dought on LNB becouse Universal LNB work both band means 9750/10600)if your receiver input signal is 950-2100MHZ you will sure receiving This freq and you will get Zee smile if your Receiver Not geting Zee smile your Receiver is may be 950-2050MHs input signal respond.

You just remember for DTH only two LNB freq work for universal LNB which is you are using that i have mension in my Mahendra vadgama // November 5, 2008 at 12:13 pm
technical discution .
5150 is for Extended C band freq, and it will not work for KU band LNB but some time by defoult your LNB response 9750MHZ if you have not 22k on and if you 22k on then it will respond by defoult 10600MHZ freq.
there is no meaning to reasearch adding different freq. in your receiver.

Please give the other “Dordarshan channel” as free to air way channel ,i.e. dd bihar, dd ranchi, dd dehradun, dd raipur, dd hissar , dd silchar, dd chandigarh as free to air way channel.To make this channel as free to air way DD DIRECT + Service have not to spend a lump sum of money as this are goverment Doordarshan channels. Zee smile and Zee Tamil can received on same TP becouse that in digital world on single TP you can share number of channel this all are depends on types of multiplexing.
If you are from a electronic field then you can think about this side .I can explain in detail if you are electronic person.
in short for single TP you can hold 10-20 ore even more channel in Vertical and horizental received polarisation .But the video and audio PID may not be same .

You can receive all C Band Channel of Asiasat2/3S/4 using 4ft Prime focus Dish. but in this case using multi LNB in one dish is very dificult. Also you get maximum channels from Insat 2E/4A (Not All Channel). better thing is use 5 ft or more dish to receive all channel from any satellite. Dont use any Combo LNB. use 13K C band LNB to get maximum signal in a small dish.

Hi Ela i don’t know, but my friend install airtel dth sytem . i connect dd direct receiver & lnb frequency 09750 use, other option on & search, i receive asias many chennels. it is very difficult to dd direct to receive chennel, signal is weak, but i possible in punjab..

Information abt addition of NINE Channels is extremely pleasant for most of DD Direct Plus Consumers. It is expected that yr information is frm reliable souce. I observe test channels indicated by u r transmitting DD’s routine channels like DD 1 , DD News, DD Sports, DD Bharti etc. These Users channels r repeated in Test Channels.
However, in fact chanel called “TOTAL TV” seem to hv been removed for last 3/4 days.
As u r aware, Chief Executive of Prasar Bharati, Mr. BALAJIT SINGH LALLY is reported on 08/07/08 in News Papers assuring transmission of Additional Nine Channels frm DD Direct Plus FTA platform. Instead of addition of channels they had infacct removed transmission of few channels.
Sincerely wish yr information is proved to b true. If u hv information pl share names of Channels likely 2 b added along with existing Channels.
As a matter of fact yr informations abt getting more FTA channels w/o depending on DD is fantastic. Pl. keep it up n keep us informed.

Isai Aruvi, Tara Muzik, FE TV & Press TV might be add on DD Direct plus very soon. but friend dont trust PB. they can change their decission within a second. So to get more Free channels go for big dish go for C band.
One bengali channels will be add on DD Direct Plus. but dont expect more.
To get REN TV use minimum 6ft Prime focus Dish with Circular Polarities C Band LNB if possible. otherwise use tefflon with normal C band LNB. to get REN TV use Yamal 202 satellite from 49 degree. Its footprint is very strong.

If you are in northern part of our country, you will get more than 45 TV Channels including National Geographic Channel, Animal Planet, Fashion TV, Luxe TV and lots of good TV channels as free. and if you are from Southern part of our Country , you will get 11 free TV Channels from ABS 1 Ku Band
also you can get Asiasat 3S Ku Band and Protostar 1 Ku Band channels including Press TV a good English News Channels. as free to air with normal DD Direct Dishes and LNB. In Asiasat 3S you will get 18 Iranian Channels & in Protostar 1 you will get 9 Srilankan TV Channels

If you you use 180 cm Dish 6ft for C band you will get more than 350 FTA TV channels

I think it will solve your problems.
Actually you can’t synchronized your dish with desired satellite. to get ABS 1 1st try to get signal from Insat 4A ( Tatasky) through your existing Dish. It will be easier to get signal after that move you dish same direction but not moved by vertically . I am sure you will get ABS 1

The big red circle is indicate the area of that particular satellite coverage. but in real time we receive signal from satellite beaming area. So I think that this satellite coverage area is not for us who wanted to receive signal from Satellite means it is not related with downlink. It may be related with uplink station. In that maps you also see dbw value and size of dish. It is very important for reception of a satellite.
If you wanted to know more about satellite beam area please visit

From this site you can find your local area via Google maps and also check the beam area is available or not from your locality perfectly and if available you also know what will be the size of Dish.

I have only two Dish, One normal Dish TV Dish (70cm) through which I receive Asiasat 3S Ku Band Signal. Some times I moved it towards Protostar 1 Ku Band. Normally I Disconnect it.
From another 6ft FRP Dish (Fiber) I receive Intelsat 10 C Band (In right), ABS 1 Ku Band in middle between Thaicom & Intelsat, Thaicom 5 C Band (In Prime). And in left side I Keep Insat 2E/4A C Band and Insat 4B/NSS 6 Ku Band LNBs
I am not receiving Asiasat 3S C Band
and finally I dont have any stuff and not need any maintainance for this setup. This all setup made by me and one of my friends.
Yesterday We try to receive 4 Ku Band satellite using a normal 70 cm Dish TV Dish and finally we are success. Yesterday we received ABS 1 Ku Band, Insat 4B/NSS 6 Ku Band, Protostar 1 & Asiasat 3S Ku Band. for this setup we keep Insat 4B/NSS 6 in Prime (Center). Now we will make a clam for setup all 4 Ku Band LNB. Next Saturday we will finalize it. Through this setup we can get more than 105 TV Channels for free
The cost for this project will be as follows
1 PC 70 cm normal offset Ku Band Dish Rs. 400.00
4 pics Ku Band LNB Rs 125/- Each Total Rs. 500.00
1 Pics 4 in 1 DiSEqC Switch to connect 4 LNB Rs. 350.00
25 meter RG 6 Coxial Cable @ Rs.10/- Per Meter Total Rs 250.00
1 pc Good quality Set Top Box (Beetel) Rs. 1150.00
So total cost for this Project will be Rs. 2650.00 maximum. for this you dont have to pay anything to anybody

Yes you can get many satellite as you like but normally you can receive 4 LNB signal ( Satellite ) at a time using DiSEqC Switch.

No, All LNBs are same. you can receive ABS 1 through your existing DD Direct Plus Setup. To do this just move your dish left side if you stay in front of your Dish (Where LNB is located) you will get it very easily. To receive ABS 1 1st put 12579H22000 Signal in your STB and LNB both will be 10600 and 22K remain on.
and finally move your LNB right side. very slight. If you try ti get 4 LNB in 1 Dish 1st fix your Dish any satellite after that move your LNB. its very difficult. first receive ABS 1 individually. after that try this

I am using a FRP (Fiber made ) Dish which Price is Rs. 4500.00 and its weight is approx. 8 Kg only. Wgich is manufactured by Yanhik Communication. I think its high. In normally south side its available just for Rs 1600.00 to 1800.00 but its weight will be approx 16 to 20 kg as per quality
Dish provider supply me to side mounter channel and 3 extra C band Mounting clamp & 2 Ku Mounting Clamp. But I am using 2 C mounting Clamp and 2 Ku mounting clamp which all are very simple and hand made. for that he take Rs. 300 from me
C band 13K Duel LNB in Kolkata come for Rs. 700.00 now. but normal 17K LNB available for Rs. 300
DiSEqC switch is for Rs. 350.00 only
And Ku Band LNBs are available for Rs. 125.00 only

your normal all DD Direct set top box can receive all Free Satellite Channels. If you are interested about only Bengali Channels then buy a minimum 5ft Dish and one C Band LNB. You will get 12 Bengali Free TV Channels including Aakash Bangla, 24 GHanta, Tara Muzik, Channel 10 etc from Insat 2E/4A. From here you will get approx 115 Free TV Channels including some good news & Music Channels
If you like DD Direct Plus channels along with this just buy 1 DiSEqC Switch. normally all set top box support DisEqC option
Yes it possible hack Dish TV and any other DTH service by using special type Set Top Box like Dream Box, Lyng Box etc. for that you need smart Card and CAM moduler. but its very costly

Actually this TP is weakest TP of Dish TV that’s why you are not getting this channels. 1st try to get all Dish TP signal after that try 12595 V 40700. I think you all get it
B4U Movies is not added in DD Direct Plus. It may come. When it will come I will inform you all
Zee Trendz is available in DD Direct plus as a Free Channels. Its TP also is very strong. To get this channels tune 12728 V 27500. Its in encrypted mode but you will get it as free. So dont tune this TP as Free Channels Tune as all channels

If your LNB support Universal LNB input Method then keep it as default value of Universal type LNB (Beetel, Dreambox, Lyngbox like some good set top box support this feature) other wise LNB value will be 10600 for both of them and 22K will remain ON

Right now there is no any receiver from Beetel supporting MPEG 4 format. They have 2 receiver in the market. SD 94 & SD 98, Price Rs. 1145/- & 1300/- . This type STB is mainly made for Free To Air Channels & not support CAM Module. So there is no way to put keys.
Dreambox, Lyngbox and other CAM module supported STB is starting from Rs. 6000.00 onwards. Normally CI slot enable STB support input of Keys.
Here you can also share some of key or some site which provide keys for decrypt various encryption system like Videoguard, Conax, Irdeto Nagravision etc
But how many dreamboxes are genuine ?
They dont even sell dbs in retail in germany and u have to order them
at 6000 most available are clones ranjit so people should also beware

No you cant watch C band Channels at small KU Dish. For C Band you need minimum 4ft or more Dish and 13K C Band LNB. If you use morethan 8ft dish then only you can used old 17K C Band LNB. 17K LNB works only 6ft and more big dish only

nice site for sat tv. i have got dth set up just 2 days back and . got lot help from this blog. i could not get the pic. when tried to set up dish as per azimuth and ele.form mumbai but on random tilting the dish i have almost all the chenl. as per the insat4b list .
i want to know does any other sat gives the same chnl. in same order as insat4b as i wish to track other sat and want to make this position of dish as base .for tracking .
this confusion of dish pointing is due to the mounting of easiness of eliptical dish on window grill but with a rotaion of about 90 degg. vertically . and i can not make out the exat ness of azi and ele. angle

if one has to go for ku band with <60 cm dish you have to be contendd with what crap you get from dd and rest .. with idiots selling stones and what not.
gettting nss 6 with only one or two chnl like trendz and jagran can be the overall sat tracking experience if at all

kairali TV, Jaihind TV and Mega tv had been removed from dd+ platform since a long time.instead vyas tv had been incorporated.for last couple of days kbs world seem to have been removed from dd+ platform.we the consumers of dd are very much at the mercy of prasar bharti.
I came to know from a guy who has obtained information under RTI act that a lot of Marathi channels are in waiting list to appear on DD’s platform.Why these Prasarbharati Babu people are not allowing these Marathi entertainment channels as they are absolutely free.Ex:Mi Mararthi,Star Majha,Saam Marathi,Star Pravah etc.Please add these channels as early as possible.Also PB chairman Mr.Lali has said that PB is going to add 200 channels but when & which channels?

as per my experience if you write any mail to KBS World they will reply you very soon but Prasar Bharati never give you any reply. But who want to back again KBS World in DD Direct Plus Platform please write 2 mail
There is no any MPEG 4 Free To Air Set Top available in Indian Market. If available price is too high, Its take approx Rs 6000 onwards and its China made and quality is not good. So wait for mpeg 4 STB
To get back again removed channels please send a mail to channels providers to back again in DD Direct Plus and also send a mail to DD D+ for the same otherwise use big dish to get them free

kairali TV, Jaihind TV were reinsteated some days back. from yesterday it seems mega tv seem 2 hv been incorporated in dd+ dth platform. KBS world still seems to b that fortunate.
interestingly dd news were thru footage were informing withdrawal of kairali TV, Jaihind TV n mega as also incorporation of vyas tv for over 10 days.
dd+ cosumers are at mercy of authorities.but seems there might have been some change due to protest lodged thru this site.

I am afraid to say that KBS World broadcast via DD Direct Plus stopped as of 24th of March due to contractual issues between Prasar Bharati and KBS.
It was not KBS’s decision to stop broadcasting, but it was DD’s one-sided notification to stop.
KBS promised to re-start KBS World broadcast as soon as possible via another DTH platform.
KBS has contacted almost every DTH platform to negotiate KBS World carriage in their package, but the situation is not that bright.
However, KBS promises we would do our best to suit your needs in the very near future.

Real TV is available from Intelsat 10 at 68.5 deg East with Conax Encryption system. So there is no chance to get it as free. Its also available in all DTH Platform
Right now Zee Next not in Air. So you cant get it
DLF IPL all match will broadcast from SET MAX & ART Prime Sports only. both channels are Encrypted and ART is available from Yamal 202 at 49 deg East . In this case also no chance to see as free of all IPL match

Zee Tamil, Fashion TV, India TV, Play TV, Nepal 1 Zee Trendz are part of Dish TV , Its still temporary Free from their Package. Signal Quality of 12595 V 40700 of Dish TV is very week, so just move you Dish slidely or tune LNB to get again signal of Zee Tamil. Hope you will get it

Dish Tv uses NSS 6 satellite at 95 deg East & DD Direct Plus Use Insat 4B Satellite at 93.5 deg East. To get DD Direct Plus & Dish TV’s free channels you have to set your dish at 94.5 deg East approx. (All Dish TV Dish normally Set here) . Now note the parameter of both DTH

Pabitra you can search DTH Remote in your local market from where you buy this. Its available in open market otherwise purchase universal remote it will work with your STB.
Right now there is no signal in Protostar 1 satellite. you will get it just beside DD Direct Plus. to get it you need to move your Dish Horizontally only toward right side from from side of your dish. But remember right now there is no signal from this satellite.
I think it will be happen after one or two month. and we cant tell anything about it. Which channels will add and which will be delete , are depends on Prasar Bharati.

Right now I dont have 90 cm Dish. I get it in 5ft with 80% signal. I cant say anything about 90 cm dish. I hope it will come in 4ft dish but not sure. there is no any good channels. now a good channels is FTA from that satellite “Videoland Cinema”

I am on DishTV’s freedom pack – was promised free sports for one year but ESPN has not been available for the past 4+ months, in spite of several requests etc. also none of the Free to Air including DD or radio FM is available. Is there any Law that stipulates that Free to Air Channels are made available to all DTH users/subscribers regardless of plans subscriptions. Can DishTV be taken to court and be made to pay compensation for not providing promised channels and not allowing Free to Air Channels such as DD to be freely available. Totally unhappy with DishTV.

No I did not get any signal from Protostar 1. I know you like Srilanka’s TV Channels. but right now no way to get all of them for free. If you like Sahara NCR for free then try NSS 11 at 108.00 deg east. today morning I get it through 60 cm Dish. Signal was about 45%. to get NSS 11 try with this TP. 12330 H 5000. As its the strongest TP of this satellite & you will get only 2 channels one is Ashirwad which was encrypted . Only Sahara NCR is Free. I think its from feeds. You are not connected with Asiasat 2, You areconnected with Asiasat 3S. You told us that you have only 3ft Dish. so its very hard to get C Band Channels. through your existing setup you can get only B TV World of Bangladesh (3725 V 4450). If you moved your dish toward Insat 4B & you have Mpeg 4 Receiver, you can get Rupasi Bangla through 3ft Dish. Otherwise from Insat 2E/4A you will get only CTVN AKD Plus & Sangeet Bangla may come. to get other Bengali channels like Aakash Bangla, R Plus, Kolkata TV, 24 Ghanta, Channel 10, Ne Bangla etc you need minimum 5ft Dish

You can get C band Channel from any places of the World. Now a days C band DTH is not available in Local market.as like ready DTH. you need to purchase components individually & We have to configure it personally, means you need a big Dish (morethan 6ft to 12 ft, 8ft is best in size & performance), C band LNB (1 to 4 Universal 13K Dual LNB) as per your requirement, 1 DiSEqC 4 in 1 Switch to connect 4 LNB in a single Receiver. Finally you need a Good Set Top Box to Receive C Band Channels. Normal DTH Receiver also can receive C Band Channels
For C Band DTH you have to invest minimum Rs 4000.00 to 12000.00 & you will get 150 channels to 380 channels
Other TP from which you can get some extra Radio Channels & TV Channels using your existing DD Direct Plus Setup

In Lyngsat maps i saw Telstar18 ku band requires min 80cm dish..that’s why i asked.
do we need 8 feet dish to received Telstar18 ku band?
I think So. No any footprint maps are accrued. If you see Lyngsat maps & any other maps you never find any signal of Ku band of Asiasat 2 at 100.5 deg in Kolkata. I got a good signal with only 60 cm Dish. Now Asiasat 5 cover a new South Asia Beams. Similarly in Express AM33 at 96.5°E you never get a foot print in India except Jammu & Kashmir , I got a good signal with 8 ft Dish. even I got signal with 6ft Dish only morethan 50 %. Practically footprints are different . If you see Vinasat 1 at 132.0°E Ku band no good footprint available in India, but I got this with 5ft Dish.
Now I trying to Receive its FTA HD Channels like National Geographic Channels , ESPN Asia etc using Beetel S 25 Receiver. I planned to purchase this also.

Actually you cant fixed your dish toward desired satellite. that why you are getting this message . Hope this will help you a lot. to get sigmal just move your dish left to right & up and down. All of these are available in DD Direct Plus. except KBC World. As per your description you are not receiving 11490 V 27500 & 11570 V 27500. This 2 TP carry 20 Channels & You are getting extra 3 channels from NSS 6 Satellite.

Yes you can receive this using DD Direct STB, but you need minimum 8ft dish for that, in some case yamal @ 49 deg is come on 6ft dish, it will depends on your location, better is 8ft or more

problem lies with the channels also. when channels r new, they want to encash free publicity on dd platform being fta n get noticed. once they get viewers, they convert it to pay chnl.

Benefit of using mpeg 4 STB is you will get new technology as well as some new channels are starting with mpeg 4 format. in C Band, If you have old mpeg 2 stb you only can get the audio. If you have new mpeg STB you will get all. There is no difference as per my opinion in both stb. If you still using Ku Band dont need to moved to mpeg 4 because there is no FTA channels in mpeg 4 format in Ku Band of India

If you have time you can personally change VPID starting from 100 to 8190. If you get any thing please share with us similerly change APID also starting from 100 to 8190 if you get any audio from any pid please note it after getting any video compare it with it. In this way you can also get channels which are not properly encrypted

BEETEL WEB site shows 3 Models – – S21, S25 N S26. Models specifies as fully DVB-S compliant & MPEG-2 / MPEG -4 compliant except for S25 which specifies Fully Compliant to DVB-S MPEG-4/H.264/AVC Standard. This is not clear.
Although there seem to b no differance between S21 n S26, there seems to b lot of differance when compared with S25.
S25 indicates as DiSEqC 1.0 & 1.2 compatible.But will this b compatible to 4 in 1 Switch? Does it mean other 2 models are not compatible to DiSEqC? This I believe is very important as w/o it multiple LNBs will b difficult to operate.
Apperantly it seems S25 seems to b technically better than other 2 models.

You can purchase S25 STB, Which price is Rs. 3500.00 MRP. Its quality is good & its also support DVB S2/ 8PSK / High Definition etc. which I Personally Checked other S21 is not good, Its not Support HD & number of Channels is also as normal STB as 1000 only with Radio Channels. But S25 support 4000 Channels
I did not know anything about S26 . Might be its price is Rs 2600 & The Price of S21 is 3200.00
As per my opinion S 25 is best IF you like Mpeg 4 STB

There is no LNB available as VHF or UHF. You are using normal 0.5 db Universal Ku Band LNB with 60 cm Oval Dish. Through this setup you can get only some Persian package with your existing setup by using one additional Ku Band LNB & a DiSEqC Switch. for that you have to spend approximately Rs. 450.00 & all the channels is not usefull except IRIB 3 & Press TV
You can buy a 5ft Fiber Dish, through which you can get more than 200 Channels including Aakash Bangla, R Plus, CTVN AKD Plus, Channel 10. Sangeet Bangla, 24 Ghanta, Kolkata TV, NE Bangla etc etc
for this you need to spend only Rs. 5000.00 one time & there is no chance of missing of channels like DD Direct Plus. I think its the best way to watch TV for free otherwise go with Cable Line. Never trust DD Direct Plus.
It will works only for those channels which are encrypted by video Guard encryption system & not properly encrypted. Specially you can check it on 12647 V 27500
I hope you can get something from it because all Hindi Movie channels are now clear in this TV in Cinema Active. If we change VPID, hope we will get all of this in full screen

I think you are out of the signal area of Insat 4B. There is no relation between those channels. If you change APID & VPID of 11070 V 27500 (9X) or 11490 V 27500 ( Enterr 10) you may faced this problems. But I told you that please Edit any channels from Dish TV ‘s TP to watch Zee News or other channels.
Any Way remove your all channels & try to Search again all channels. Hope it will solve your problems

all these channels r available in alternative freq as well. so although they r still not available from where it went vanished, i tried to search them in alt frq n got all except cgn n etc punj.
alternative freq of 10990 is 11841 for russia, vyas.
alt freq of N, 9x, ibn at 11070 is 3829
alt freq of 11150 for cnls like total, time, p7, mh1 is 12001.
alt freq of 11490 is 12342 for svbc, ind news, e10.
still cgn and etc punj missing.

We cant receive any signal of DVB S2 8PSK(Mpeg 4 HD) Channels using normal STB. We only can receive signal of normal DVB S, SD, mpeg 4, Mpeg 2 HD only. And we can view only DVB S CHannels through this STB and we can receive audio of DVB S, SD, mpeg 4, Mpeg 2 HD only.
If you want to receive DVB S2 8PSK signal you need another DVB S2 Receiver. Airtel’s some & Videocon all Receivers are DVB S2 Receiver. If did not upgrade the software of Airtel or Videocon Receiver, you can get signal from DVBS2 Channels

first don’t ask stupid questions,
I don’t think it is as it was taken out by dd officials a long time ago, plus the right people to ask if it will be shown on dddp again are DD officials not me or ranjit, we can only say whether it is there or not , from what we can see , and all this info comes for free so be a bit more humble for our hard work.
Please let me know, can I go for this free DD DTH facility (would like to move from current paid TATA SKY of private service provider to this DD DTH as this DD DTH does not have too much of commercial channels). This decision is basically as my kids are studying in higher standards and this DD DTH facility is OK for us for bare minimum usage TV view.
If DD DTH relay with bare minimum channels is good (at least DD1, DD2 & DD Kannada which is DD3 for us), I will go for this. Please provide your inputs.
If you anyone knows, request you to provide which antenna should I buy and what would be the cost (I heard China made antennas is not good and also I heard that if any problem in these antennas, service from them is very bad).

If you love KBS World, then go with C Band Dish, you will get KBS World. for that you need MPEG 4 Receiver details are as follows

Its is the same channels which was broadcasting from DD Direct Plus. KBS World never come again in DD direct plus as DD Direct Plus kicked them without any notice of outstanding

You did not mention your location, anyway signal quality of Thaicom is week than any Insat , Asiasat or Intelsat. you can get maximum 85% signal from 4160 V 2000 TP and average signal is 45 – 50 % through 6ft Solid Dish. Please check it even from some TP you cant getting anything using 6ft Dish like 4014 H 2305, 3617 V 12500

There is lot of channels available, which broadcast lots of channels which you like. Yamal 202 at 49.0°E is the very common satellite for that where only one similer channels available called REN TV,
You did not mention your location. If you are in coverage area of Hot Bird, http://www.lyngsat.com/hotbird.html you can get some this type of channels. but maximum channels are Encrypted for that you have to pay

Service of doordarshan is third class. They have nothing to do with the entertainment. When I watch DD channels, I feel I am in year 1960. No change in program quality, variety, Customer care, Signal quality etc.
Our life is limited. My suggestion to you is scrap the Set top box of DD Direct + & switch over to some private DTH platform & enjoy the quality programs & life. If you are waiting for additional channels to be started by DD, wou will lose your life in waiting only without any result. Dont waste your life i expecting any channel addition, quility program from doordarshan & switch over to some private DTD or cable.
I personally switched over to another DTH operator & enjoying quality programs & life. Dont wait for any good news from DD direct + platform & dont waste your life in waiting. I am sure that they are not going to start any new quality channel nor they will attempt to inprove program quality of existing channels

IBN Lokmat basically a Pay Channels. In DD Direct Plus another Pay Channels are 9X & 9XM. So they can leave DD Direct Plus in any day. But still I am getting IBN Lokmat in DD Direct Minus after 31st August 2010.
Which Channels will come on DD Direct Plus is depends on Dish Tv & DD Direct Minus Officer Decisions. There are lots of FTA Marathi Channels available like Saam TV, MI-Marathi , Star Majha etc

If you have Homecast Receiver of Sun Direct, then you can use it as normal mpeg 4 Receiver. Otherwise you unable to use it as normal DD Direct minus Receiver. As a result you unable to use it. if you want to use DD Direct Minus then buy a new normal Receiver for Rs 600 – 1100 for it. I think that will be better

Today I called you about an issue with my Solid HD DVB S2 stb.
I am trying to receive Discovery HD and NGC HD from ST1 (videocon d2h), I tuned to this sat and getting 78% to 82% signal level. During scan (blind or preset) I am getting Discovery HD and NGC HD listed as found channel but after saving, they are missing from list of tv channels. Can you please tune to ST1 with this stb and confirm that its a software bug?

You can use your existing Dish, LNB for Free DTH SYstem. And if you have this type of STB you can record Live Channels through PVR. In market Solid DVB S2 MPEG 4 HD Receiver are available for Rs 3000.00 only, which can support all this features.

In Previous Time Prasar Bharati Planned expand DD Direct Plus and move it to Gsat 8 at 55 deg East to increase the number of channels. But as of now they dont take any positive action for that. In next 3 month 8 TV Channels planned for quitting DD Direct . Thats why recently Prasarbharati called an online E-AUCTION to fill it the blank channels. As we know MH1 Shradhha & India News Left DD Direct Minus & Whats on India & News Express join in that place.
Right now there is no any private channels in DD Direct Minus from East or North-East India. Hope in next three month we may get some channels from this area. Even there is no any private channels from Rajasthan, Maharastra, Gujrat, etc also. Let see what happen in next three month.

Metal 6ft Folding Dish is coming for Rs 3000.00
If you like Fiber 6ft Dish, it will come around for Rs 6000.00
If you need more than 350 channels, you need to receive 3 C band Satellite & 1 Ku Band Satellite. for Connect this 4 Lanb you need special bracket. it will come around Rs 500.00. Now 13K Dual Pol C Band LNB are coming about Rs 600.00 Each and Ku Band LNB coming around Rs 150.00. To connect 4 LNB you need a DiSEqC Switch it will com in Rs 300.00. It was the upper portion cost means Dish Setup Cost.

I Can see dd direct plus on c band lnb & using 8″ dish
Are all the DD channels compulsorily free according to TRAI for DTH? in my TATA direct,I have opted for package having tamil channels. Any other package involving other language means I have to pay extra. Is the charging of TATA direct correct. There are other free channels like Deutch TV, channel south asia, australian broadcasting corporation which give lot of entertainment education etc., As per TRAI are these free channels are also to be charged. But TATA adds some junk channels which are also free

You will get almost all regional language channels including a few private channels like, Z-Smile, E24 News, Star-, Aastha, Cinema channel, Enter10, and a few foreign channels like NHK, RT, DW etc.Unless you are a sports adict and want to see all the time Star-sports, ESPN, etc you can go for it at absolutely free. It may cost you around RS.2500-3000. exculding installation charges which may be around Rs 500/..

In this rainy season, i am experiencing much disturbance in the signals from few weeks,
not a single channel in running correctly without interference in my DD-Direct+.
Does the other people also experiencing that problem? I need to know does the problem is in the signals from satellite or there is a problem in my dish or set-top-box device???

Yes, it is true, in rainy season it is the case every where.
Yes, of late the signal level in DD Direct Plus is gradually diminishing. May be during Winter season it may again pick up. At best signal Strength is 20-40 % only and Signal Quality is 30-50 %, not more than that is now received from DD Direct Plus.
Please give some bengali news and entertainment free chanels on DTH.

Can anyone suggest me whether we can use the same Set Top Box of DD Freedish (Model Beetel-SD-96)used for scanning INSAT-4B -@ 93.5 ° East satelite & also SES-8 @ 95° East satelite for scanning the other FTA channels of ABS2 Satellite at 74.9°E by simply changing the direction of the dish (or) Should I have to change the STB ? I am ready to forego the satellite channels of 93.5° E& 95° E while changing the direction of dish.
if u reorient the dish u will get ku or c band signal pointed towards india from ses 8, depending upon ur dish and lnb.
