On Daughters, Sons and Irish sayings.

A son is a son till he takes him a wife, a daughter is a daughter all of her life…  goes the Irish Saying that i once found while cleaning up his cupboard.

From observing a few mother-daughter relationships, i think this is bunkum … personally i think the phrase should go something like

A son is a son till he takes him a wife, a daughter is a daughter until she has a child.
